About this volunteering position

For nearly 25 years, The Circle of Men , a non profit charity, has been visiting men in Aged Care Facilities (A C F’s) , in the Redlands and South, and, South East Brisbane regions.

Some 40 plus members divide up into small groups and visit, currently, fourteen, A C F’s where ,for one and a half hours, morning of afternoon tea is enjoyed.

The framework of our meetings follows the lines of ; A welcome and check in of ‘How are you feeling ?; How has your week been ?; Discuss events or topics of interest; Stories of interest; A joke or two. An occasional sing-a-long; an occasional visitor; and conclude with good wishes.

All over a good morning or afternoon tea supplied by the Facility.

New members are, of course, always welcome.

Thursday mornings sees up to twenty Circle Members, meet for coffee at Browns Café, (Opp. the Cleveland Council chambers, Bloomfield Street.)
