About Redlands Coast Distillery

We are a family owned and run artisan craft distillery, located in Redland City, a leafy coastal area east of Brisbane.  Our long-standing personal interest in distilling has evolved into Redlands Coast Distillery, and we’re proud to be the first legal distillery in the Redlands.

Having spent 20 years running our own business in the entertainment industry, the time came to change direction and pursue a long-standing interest in all things distilled.

Whilst Covid-19 brought devastation to many (yes, our business in the entertainment industry was shattered), it was both a catalyst for the creation of the distillery, as well as a complication. With government departments running on minimal staff and manufacturers unable to source materials, the process of creating a legal distillery was certainly an exercise in persistence.

As always, persistence paid off and we developed our first product, which is our Signature Dry Gin. We love Australia and our Redlands community, so our Signature Dry Gin was created with a deliberate connection to our native botanicals.

Our logo and labels were also created with the same connection, with the gum flower, and ocean colours reminiscent of wonderful days spent enjoying the beautiful beaches of North Stradbroke Island.

Our distillery will continue to evolve as we develop new and exciting gin flavours, vodka products and liqueurs for you to enjoy and share with friends and family.

Our focus is keeping our product as local as possible, with some of the botanicals grown in our own garden, and others sourced locally where possible.

Our Signature Gin is full flavored and refreshing, centered around the bold herbal and piney flavors of Juniper, citrus notes from coriander seed and sweet orange peel, which are enhanced by the sweet flavors of organic liquorice root.

Earthy tones from angelica and orris root balance this blend of flavors with the floral finish from 6 local botanicals including strawberry gum leaf, pepper berry leaf, lemon myrtle, grey myrtle, cinnamon myrtle and rose geranium rounding out the mix.

Each batch is hand-made and bottled using locally harvested water that’s triple filtered and UV treated for the utmost purity and mouthfeel. We take great care to ensure every bottle meets our high standard for your enjoyment.
