Bayside Dance, a cherished local dance studio known for its vibrant community spirit and exceptional training, has garnered national recognition, being named a finalist in six categories at the prestigious Australasian Dance Education Awards. This honour reflects the studio’s outstanding achievements in various aspects of dance education and community involvement.
The nominations highlight Bayside Dance’s commitment to excellence across the board. The studio is a contender for the coveted Australian Dance Studio of the Year award, an accolade that celebrates overall excellence in dance instruction, student development, and community engagement.
Director Kaitlin Hague, a bayside local who opened the studio in 2014, is also recognised as a finalist for Dance Studio Owner of the Year. This nomination acknowledges her leadership, vision, and dedication to fostering a supportive and innovative environment for dancers of all ages.
In addition to these individual accolades, Bayside Dance has been named a finalist for Excellence in Leadership, Excellence in Marketing & Brand, and Excellence in Administration. The studio’s impact on our local Bayside community has also been celebrated with a finalist position for Excellence in Community Impact.
Bayside Dance is a very familiar name around the Wynnum/Manly area as they lend their time and dancers to community events such as Bayside Carols, the upcoming Wynnum Halloween Parade, and earlier this year hosted their own Party in the Park as a free event for the whole community to enjoy.
“We are incredibly honoured and thrilled to receive these nominations,” said Kaitlin Hague. “It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, as well as the support and enthusiasm of our students and their families. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant dance community and look forward to continuing to inspire and innovate.”
The Australasian Dance Education Awards celebrate the best in the industry and recognise those who have made significant contributions to dance education and community.
The winners will be announced at a gala event later this year, and Bayside Dance will continue to be a source of pride and inspiration for the Wynnum/Manly community.
