About the event

Join our first ever charity golf day in the Redlands Region for a day of fun, raffles, prizes, food and drink. Thanks to our generous sponsor Lexus of Springwood, if you hit a HOLE IN ONE, you’ll go home with a Lexus UX200 valued at more than $50,000. All funds raised go towards providing vulnerable young people in South East Queensland access to TRACTION’s mentoring programs. About the host
TRACTION engages young people aged 12-15 in innovative early intervention and prevention programs aimed at building resilience and keeping them engaged in school. We partner with schools, community groups and government agencies to reach young people who are facing challenges and need support.

Young people work ‘on the tools’ in a workshop environment to complete their own projects, like building a BMX bike to keep, including a custom paint job. TRACTION mentors work with small groups of young people, guiding them to develop confidence, resilience and skills to help them thrive in work and life.

Since 2015, nearly 2,000 young people have engaged with TRACTION programs in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay, Redlands and the Scenic Rim.
