One of Australia’s most iconic hairstyles is taking centre stage this month as locals prepare to show off their best “business in the front, party in the back” looks at the Ultimate Mullet Competition.
Hosted by Clippy T’s Barber Shop and Craft Brew House, the event will see competitors go head-to- head when the event is held at Craft on Sunday, April 19 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
All proceeds will be donated to the Black Dog Institute through its Mullets for Mental Health initiative, which helps fund crucial suicide prevention research.
The competition is open to all genders and includes four categories: Best Classic, Junior Mullet, Wildest Mullet, and People’s Choice. Entry is $10 per person. The day will be family-friendly with food, raffles, hair stencilling and colouring for a gold coin donation, and a special mullet-themed cocktail and mocktail to celebrate the occasion.
