About the event
Bring the whole family along to the Queensland Ambulance Service’s Wynnum Museum Open Day this Sunday 7 April – it’s sure to delight visitors young and old.
This museum tells our story of 132 years of ambulance service in Queensland.
A fine stable of historic vehicles will be on display, including one of our recent stars – the ambulance used for the Netflix series of Boy Swallows Universe. And don’t forget the children’s most loved – Axel the Ambulance…
Also on display are odd and quirky pieces of ambulance equipment from the past, uniforms, rooms set up as they were in their eras – long before smart devices – and historical photographs.
A coffee van and sausage sizzle will keep you topped up, and a range of children’s activities will ensure everyone has a great morning out.
