There’s No Place Like Home is an annual charity dinner and auction and is the brainchild of local real estate agent Louise Denisenko from Redlands Coast Properties.
Now in its fourth year, the fundraiser, held at the Alexandra Hills Hotel in September, was a huge success, raising $50,420 for local charity Homeless United, operated via Redlands Community Centre in Capalaba.
Louise is supported by other community-minded real estate industry ladies, including Bianca Stubbs, Tanya Flood Campbell (First National Cleveland), Julie O’Callaghan (@Realty), Leanne Borjarski and Casey Bridgland (Re/Max) and Emily Denisenko (Redlands Coast Properties), who help coordinate the gala event. Attended by local real estate agents and members of the wider business community representing a diverse range of industries, the event features a seated dinner, drinks, entertainment, auctions, raffles, and a great time all round!
Homeless United is a much-needed service that assists people to access housing and to get their lives back on track and into the workforce. Each year, this event grows in numbers and support.
With housing being in such short supply and the homeless crisis increasing with the cost-of-living pressures and rental prices skyrocketing, we all need to be aware of this issue and support it where possible.
The support of all the businesses and sponsors involved in the event is greatly appreciated and acknowledged, and we look forward to another great evening next year, so save the date for October 11, 2025.
