Bayside landscaping company Yards has marked its 20th anniversary with a prestigious win at the 2025 Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards. The team took home the Residential Maintenance Award for their standout work on a Manly property, praised for its flawless turf, refined pruning, and meticulous attention to detail.

The award, presented at The Star Brisbane, recognises excellence in the ongoing care and presentation of residential gardens. Judges highlighted the Manly project’s “exceptional landscape care” and “sharp interface between lawn and native violet” as hallmarks of Yards’ commitment to horticultural precision.

Director Ben French, who was named Australian Horticulturist of the Year in 2024, said the accolade was a fitting tribute to the team’s dedication and the trust of long-standing clients. “This recognition feels especially meaningful as we celebrate 20 years of Yards,” he said.

Among the team is Kat Pearson, Assistant Horticultural Care Manager, who brings a unique perspective to her role after a career as a Naval Engineer. Kat also shares her gardening wisdom each month in The Community Leader as the author of the popular gardening column.

With eight consecutive wins in Landscape Queensland’s maintenance categories, Yards has become a quiet powerhouse in the local horticultural scene. Their latest award is a well-earned moment of recognition for a team that’s helped shape the beauty of Brisbane’s bayside – one garden at a time. Congratulations to Yards!
