Queenslanders have responded strongly to the Cheaper Home Battery rebate with installations surging through 2025 as families look to combat rising energy bills and gain energy independence. It is important to note that the rebate will decrease from January 1 2026.
Households that install a battery before the end of 2025 can still access the higher rebate amount, but after this date the incentive reduces – meaning many families could miss out on thousands of dollars in savings if they wait until the new year.
