FROM MARC SORRENTINO
What started 11 years ago by the Sorrentino family with a boot full of toys to donate to underprivileged kids has become a bayside tradition, thanks to the support of family, friends, local businesses, and, of course, the wider community, without whom none of this would be possible.
This year, more than ever, the cost of living pressures means some families are struggling to put food on the table and even a roof over their heads. For many underprivileged families, Christmas 2024 will be cancelled due to financial restraints, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
We invite our community to drop off a new, unwrapped toy at our office at Sorrentino Property/Le Bistro, located at 75 Cambridge Parade Manly, before Monday, December 16, 2024. Our opening hours are 6:00am to 12:00pm, seven days a week.
We realise that many of you are also doing it tough. However, you don’t need to spend much to make a difference and if you believe that the more you give, the more you get back, we are certain you’ll find this very rewarding.
Unlike cash donations, 100 per cent of these toys donated go directly to the Salvation Army, who make sure these gifts go to underprivileged children, so let’s unite and do our bit so those less fortunate don’t miss out on the joy of Christmas.
The Sorrentino family thanks everyone for their generosity in donating toys over the past 11 years and for their continued support this year.
