On Friday August 25, Birkdale State School Prep to Year 2 students were invited to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character. The annual theme across Australia for 2023 was ‘Read, Grow and Inspire’. Members of the community were able to join together for a fabulous morning in the hall, celebrating the books that we love to read. A solid foundation in reading forms a toolbox of lifelong skills.
On Thursday August 31, the school hosted a ‘Father’s Morning’ full of exciting, active fun! This special day celebrated our wonderful fathers, grandpas, uncles, and special friends. We had a lovely morning of activities in the sunshine. We enjoyed ball games, soccer ball skills, basketball and even a mini golf course!
