About Little Ship Club
Little Ship Club
Welcome to paradise on North Stradbroke Island.
Located on the Dunwich waterfront, the Little Ship Club is a relaxed, family‑friendly destination where members and guests can unwind, enjoy great food, and take in spectacular bay views. Everyone is welcome — families, friends, and even four‑legged companions.
Our History
The Club’s story began during the Second World War as part of the Volunteer Coastal Patrol (VCP) and the Naval Auxiliary Patrol (NAP). Members volunteered their time and vessels to help safeguard Queensland waters.
By 1942, the NAP had become part of the Royal Australian Naval Volunteer Reserve, with more than 3,000 volunteers across Australia.
The Little Ship Club celebrated 70 years in October 2021, honouring its legacy of service and community.
Who We Are Today
Since the 1950s, the Club has grown into a vibrant community with a strong boating culture and a shared love of Moreton Bay.
Members come from all walks of life — boating enthusiasts and non‑boaters alike — united by their appreciation for Straddie’s natural beauty.
Stradbroke Wedding Venue
With panoramic views, balmy afternoons and unforgettable sunsets, the Little Ship Club is one of Straddie’s most unique wedding locations.
