About the event
The Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly, supported very generously by Ampol, is hosting the annual Family Fun Day to be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at George Clayton Park on the esplanade at Wynnum.
This event began in 2015 and has been held every year since. While the event was intended to raise awareness of the scourge of domestic and family violence, the aim is for families to have an enjoyable day out at little expense.
That year, many children enjoyed a tug-of-war with the police horses,climbing on the firefighting equipment, playing games, having their faces painted, and generally having fun. Their parents had the opportunity to talk with the police, ambulance, and firefighters in a supportive space. Other organisations also provided information about their services in a safe environment – an opportunity that many appreciated.
