The global musical phenomenon, MAMMA MIA!, will open at the Iona
Performing Arts Centre, Lindum, on 24 September, 2022 and play for a
limited season to 8 October, 2022.
This exciting new production of MAMMA MIA! is produced by
Savoyards Musical Comedy Society, a Brisbane based community
theatre organisation.
“MAMMA MIA! is the perfect night at the theatre – uplifting, fun-filled,
and full of the ABBA music we all love. We’re excited by the incredibly
talented cast we have assembled to bring this story and this music to
life on stage,” says Choreographer, Desney Toia-Sinapati.
Set on a Greek island paradise, writer Catherine Johnson’s heart-
warming tale centres around a young bride-to-be. On the eve of her
wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father,
brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last
visited 20 years ago.
Over 60 million people all around the world have fallen in love with the
story and the music that makes MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good
musical. A celebration of love, laughter and friendship, MAMMA MIA! is
a fabulous night out for audiences of all ages.
