About the event
Collectors hoping to uncover their next rare find, find out whether an old family collection is worth keeping, or simply looking for a new hobby, will have the chance to do all three when Queensland’s biggest stamp and coin show opens in August.
Presented by the Queensland Philatelic Council, the event will be held at the Sleeman Sports Complex in Chandler from Thursday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16, bringing together more than 35 specialist dealers, 450 exhibition displays and thousands of collectables from across Australia and overseas.
Visitors will be able to buy, sell and trade stamps, coins, banknotes, postcards, trading cards, Postal Numismatic Covers, ephemera and other collectables, with experts also on hand to provide free valuations, workshops and presentations.
Head on down anytime between 12:00pm and 6:00pm on Thursday August 13, 10:00am and 6:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 9:00am and 2:00pm on Sunday August 16.
Entry is $4 if you pre-purchase online, or $5 at the door, with free admission for kids under 16.
