The School of Hard Knocks Choir is an exciting new diverse abilities project for adults over 18yo that is being presented by inclusive arts charity Play It Forward’s award winning artistic director – Jonathon Welch AM, the founding conductor of the ground breaking Choir of Hard Knocks.
With the aim of promoting positive mental health, access and inclusion for those anyone with a disability or is experiencing social disadvantage, the School of Hard Knocks Choir will run on Wednesdays from 2pm – 4pm from July 12 – Sept 13, 2023 at the Donald Simpson Centre.
This 10 week project will culminate in the participation in a fundraising performance ‘SING FOR A CURE’ at RPAC (Redland Perf Arts Centre) on Thur Sept 14, 2023 from 7.30pm for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australian.
Attendance is free and those requiring any support of assistance must be accompanied by a family member, friend, carer or support worker and participate in the choir.
