🔧 The Brands You’ll Work On
Depending on your location and role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of vehicles including:
Nissan | Mitsubishi | Holden | GWM | XPENG | Renault | Forthing | Forizon
From established Japanese and European brands through to the latest EV and emerging Chinese automotive technology, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of vehicles, systems and diagnostic technologies.
🚗 About the Role
As an Automotive Technician at Bartons, you’ll be part of a professional Service team responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of passenger vehicles, SUVs, commercial vehicles and new-energy vehicles.
Whether you’re currently working in a dealership, independent workshop or the aftermarket, this is an opportunity to take your career to the next level.
You’ll be responsible for:
Performing scheduled servicing and general mechanical repairs
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Carrying out manufacturer-recommended inspections and repairs
Using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Completing repair orders accurately and efficiently
Working collaboratively with Service Advisors, Technicians and Service Management
Keeping up to date with the latest vehicle technology and repair procedures
Working safely and maintaining a clean and professional workshop

👨🔧 About You
We’re looking for technicians who take pride in their work and want to be part of a professional, high-performing team.
You’ll ideally have:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Previous experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
A high level of attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
A current Australian driver’s licence
A professional, reliable and team-focused attitude
A genuine commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Dealership experience is highly regarded, but we’re also keen to hear from experienced technicians looking to make the move from an independent or aftermarket workshop.
