The Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce (MHVCOC) continues to support the local business community, fostering collaboration and growth within our vibrant precinct. As a not-for-profit incorporated entity, the chamber is led by a dedicated committee of local business and property owners who share a vision of making the Manly area a premier leisure destination in Queensland.

On Tuesday, August 20, the Chamber hosted its latest Trader Networking evening at the Manly Deck Bar and Restaurant, courtesy of owner Sudhir Setty. The event, attended by over 40 members and guests, was a great success. Our vice-president, Steve Rickertts, served as the MC, welcoming everyone to an evening of networking over delicious canapés and drinks. Guests were treated to updates on the latest happenings in the village, while trader representative Tammy Vitale announced exciting news about the upcoming Manly Harbour Christmas Lights Competition. This year, all residents within the 4179 postcode are invited to participate, making it a true community event.

On September 6, The Manly Hotel played host to our second Business Breakfast of the year, with Karl Schwantes returning as our guest speaker. Karl, an internationally recognised author and award-winning business leader, shared insights on creating memorable customer experiences through his innovative DIAMOND Experience framework. The event was a hit, following on from his previous workshop on generating Google 5-star reviews. Guests were once again engaged as he shared tips on elevating customer experience. Terri Cooper from Business Chamber Queensland was also in attendance, providing valuable updates on EcoBiz and Workforce Evolve programs.

Don’t forget, on the first and third Saturday of the month are the Jan Powers Markets, and the first Saturday of the month also sees the free Movies in the Park, starting at sunset. The Manly Creative Markets are held every Sunday. All three events are held in Little Bay Park, Manly.
