A group of 20 women from The Redlands/Bayside Ladies Friends Group recently embarked on a captivating journey to Ormiston House, stepping back in time to an era of elegance.
Nestled against the breathtaking backdrop of Moreton Bay and surrounded by meticulously manicured gardens, the ladies gathered on the verandah, indulging in the delights of traditional Devonshire Teas. The ambiance was further enriched by dedicated volunteers adorned in period attire who warmly guided them through the splendid home and its enchanting grounds.
For many among the group, the discovery of this hidden historical gem – practically in their own backyard – was a revelation. They left with a newfound appreciation for the old-world charm and serene beauty that Ormiston House and its lush gardens offer.
