The Manly Harbour Village Christmas Lights Competition is back, promising a stunning display of festive lights across the entire 4179 postcode area. From decorated homes and boats to businesses in the area, this annual tradition invites all community members to participate, making the season brighter and more festive for everyone.
With over $10,000 in prizes to be won across categories for best-decorated house, boat, and business, there are plenty of opportunities for participants to showcase their creativity.
To officially kick-off the festivities, the community is invited to the Christmas Lights launch on Saturday November 30, at Little Bayside Park. We are inviting all children and parents to get into the Christmas spirit and dress up for a chance to win a prize! We will start the Christmas Parade from the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club footpath, and walk down to Little Bayside Park. Santa will be arriving by Cadillac, and there will be free Santa photos. Santa will also judge the best dressed boy/girl and family. We will then be entertained with Christmas Carols, live entertainment and more.
Manly Harbour Christmas Light Cruises, operated by Cat O’ Nine Tails, will run twice nightly at 7:00pm and 8:00pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 30 to December 15. These cruises offer a unique view of the sparkling lights around the marina and the surrounding precinct, departing from the William Gunn Jetty. Bookings are a must.
The winners of the Christmas Lights Competition will be announced on Tuesday, December 17 at Keith’s on Cambridge. Help us light up Manly Harbour Village; decorate, celebrate, and let’s make this a Christmas to remember for locals and visitors alike!
