On Tuesday, September 26, the Manly Chamber of Commerce held its networking trader event with nearly 40 members and guests in attendance.
Members and guests were welcomed by Chris and Trish Allen at the Manly Marina Cove Motel, who provided a short overview of the motel’s history, the types of clientele it attracts and how it maintains a 90% occupancy rate or higher. Trish and Chris took the opportunity to thank the local business traders and community for their continued support – and it definitely works both ways!
The motel boasts a stunning waterfront location overlooking Moreton Bay and is a short stroll to Manly Harbour Village or a two-minute drive to Wynnum’s retail centre.
Trish mentioned that sometimes guests are amazed at how close they are to the Manly Harbour Village, which is just a short walk around the corner.
The Chamber welcomed a few new members on the evening. By the time this issue goes to print, we will be hosting our Annual General Meeting with the new committee being introduced at our next trader networking evening scheduled for November 28.
