Medical and allied health event brings local professionals together - The Community Leader and Real Estate New and Views

BY CATH COOK, PRECINCT COORDINATOR, MANLY HARBOUR VILLAGE

This is the second year local Manly pharmacist and president of Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce Jessica Nguyen has coordinated the Medical and Allied Health networking evening. Held at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, it brought together over 90 local health professionals for an evening of connection, collaboration, and community.

The event provides a unique opportunity for medical and allied health professionals to meet face-to-face, many for the first time, and put faces to names they had only known via referrals or email. With a wide range of specialties represented – from general practice and physiotherapy to mental health, pharmacy, and dentistry – the room was buzzing with conversation and a shared commitment to integrated patient care.

One of the key benefits of the evening was the opportunity to build relationships that encourage cross-referral and better outcomes for patients. In an increasingly connected healthcare environment, knowing and trusting the professionals you refer to is invaluable. This event helped foster that trust.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all the healthcare professionals who took the time to attend. Your willingness to engage with colleagues, share insights, and support one another is what makes our local health community so strong.

We are especially grateful to our sponsors for their generous support. Returning sponsors AFT Pharmaceuticals, Yield Advisory, Manly Village Compounding Pharmacy, and the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce helped bring the event to life once again. A warm welcome and thank you also goes to new sponsor, Galderma.
