Brisbane Seniors Online seeks volunteers - The Community Leader and Real Estate New and Views
Aged Community

Brisbane Seniors Online (BSOL) is a not-for-profit organisation that has been helping seniors and over 50s navigate computers and the internet in their own homes for around 23 years.

Tuition is provided on a learner’s own device using volunteer (unpaid) mentors. Windows, Apple, smart phones and tablets are some of the applications and devices taught. SBOL specialises in home training on a one-on-one basis but also runs short courses in the Woolloongabba training centre.

BSOL is always looking for more volunteer mentors who are confident to teach learners, and new learners are always welcome to join. Seniors pay a joining fee of $20 and then an annual membership fee of $45 applies. As a guide, this gives learners around 12 hours of home lessons and once formal lessons are completed, they receive ongoing support from their mentors for the balance of their membership year.

Contact Brisbane Seniors Online on 3393 2225 or see www.bsol.asn.au and Facebook.com/BrisbaneSeniorsOnline for more information.
