FROM REGIS WYNNUM

Residents and staff at Regis Wynnum were delighted to receive their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination, with a second dose due by the end of the month. With a packed activities schedule, the vaccination is a welcome safeguard that allows residents and staff to enjoy everything the Regis lifestyle has to offer.

Residents have been kept busy by Regis’ energetic Lifestyle Team with an array of activities each day such as learning to create mosaic outdoor tables, gardening (fruit, vegetables, edible flowers and herbs used by Regis chef Paula), upcycling pallets into vertical gardens, enjoying twice weekly happy hours, men’s and ladies’ social groups, choir (the Wynnum Warblers), craft clubs and twice weekly bingo to name a few.

From 3 May all visitors coming into any aged care facility in Australia were required to provide proof of their influenza (flu) vaccine, or a medical exemption letter from their treating doctor. Flu vaccines can be obtained from local medical centres and local pharmacies.
