CONTRIBUTED BY PACE AT SLEEMAN
It’s no secret that exercise at any age has its benefits. But for seniors, exercising has been proven to prevent disease, reduce symptoms of chronic illnesses like arthritis and diabetes, improve muscle tone and bone density, reduce high blood pressure, improve mood, and often provides a social element too.
Pace Manager, David Trahair, said: “Staying fit and healthy will help individuals maintain a positive attitude towards aging and feel confident in their daily life. Prioritising your health allows you to continue to contribute to the people and places you care about most. At Pace, more than 50 per cent of our members are in the 50-plus age bracket. They love coming here to exercise, and there’s a great social community for our senior members.”
Pace membership gives you access to a huge selection of group classes, the fitness centre, and the heated pools, as well as tailored individual fitness advice delivered by highly qualified fitness staff.
