FROM ST. LUKE’S CATHOLIC PARISH SCHOOL, CAPALABA

On Tuesday, 16 September, St Luke’s Catholic Parish School in Capalaba came alive with colour, music, and joy as students from Prep to Year 6 presented their Arts Showcase. The event was a vibrant celebration of creativity, featuring performances and exhibitions across Visual Art, Media Art, Music, Dance, and Drama.

Families, staff, and community members gathered to witness a spectacular display of student talent. From energetic dances and heartfelt singing to joyful marimba performances, hilarious skits, and stunning visual artworks, every act reflected the students’ passion and imagination.

Special mention goes to student MCs Arabella and Avah – affectionately known as the “Cabbage Girls” – who confidently introduced each act with professionalism and flair.

Principal Denita Castley praised the dedication of Arts Teacher Mrs G, whose enthusiasm inspires students every week. She also acknowledged the tireless efforts of staff behind the scenes, whose support helped students shine both on stage and in the gallery.

“We are so proud of our school community,” said Denita Castley. “Thank you to everyone who came along to support and celebrate with us.”

St Luke’s continues to foster a love of the arts, enriching the lives of students and the wider Capalaba community.
