FROM LOTA STATE SCHOOL

Lota State School students recently celebrated National Tree Day by planting new trees in the school’s orchard. Four fruit trees – a lime, orange, lemon and olive tree – were generously donated to the school by Downtown Toyota.

Eleanor from Downtown Toyota spoke on parade about the importance of trees for our planet. She was very impressed with the poster that students from Environmental Club made showing the relationship between the earth’s elements (Light, Water, Soil, Fire and Air) and trees. The environmental club students involved with this project then planted the new trees in the orchard.
