Seafood, Community and a Vision for Manly’s Future
A new tradition begins: Manly Harbour Village Seafood Showcase sets the stage for a Manly food festival future.
On Sunday 2 August, Manly Harbour Village will celebrate something that has always been part of its identity: exceptional Australian seafood.
The inaugural Manly Harbour Village Seafood Showcase brings together some of Australia’s finest seafood producers, fishers, aquaculture businesses, chefs and local hospitality venues that make our region one of Queensland’s most exciting food destinations.
From 10:00am to 2:00pm, Little Bayside Park will host a selection of seafood producers, fishers and aquaculture businesses showing off their products and providing tasting opportunities – a chance for visitors to meet the people behind the produce and discover the story behind the exceptional seafood that contributes to the incredible diversity of our local food culture.
Adding to the experience, visitors are encouraged to explore the Manly Harbour Village Food Trail, with local restaurants showcasing special dishes celebrating the very best of Australian seafood. Think freshly shucked oysters, seafood caught in Moreton Bay and more unusual items such as wild scampi caviar. Dishes will showcase the quality, sustainability and passion that define Australia’s seafood industry.
“Manly has all the ingredients to become a recognised seafood destination,” said event organiser Danielle Dixon.
“We have an incredible waterfront, passionate local businesses and access to some of Australia’s best seafood. This event celebrates what already exists while creating something the whole community can be proud of for years to come.”
Whether you’re a lifelong seafood lover or simply looking for a fantastic day by the bay, the Manly Harbour Village Seafood Showcase promises outstanding food, passionate producers and a chance to experience Australian seafood at its very best.
Come hungry, support local and be part of the beginning of what promises to become one of Manly’s signature annual events.

Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce Business & Wellbeing Breakfast
On Friday, 19 June, the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce hosted a Wellbeing and Business Breakfast at the beautiful Manly Harbour Boat Club.
The morning began with an insightful presentation from Eleni Georgiou, Specialist Dietitian at Tree of Life, who highlighted the importance of eating a nutritious breakfast to fuel the workday, improve focus, and support energy and performance. It was a fitting topic as guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Executive Chef Adam Starr and the team at the Manly Harbour Boat Club.
Next, we heard from Kathryn Steinhardt, Brand Guardian at Steinart, who shared valuable insights into the power of effective branding. She explained how a clear and consistent brand makes a business easier to communicate, easier to manage, and more credible to the people who matter most, its customers.
The breakfast was met with an overwhelming response, leading the Chamber to host a half-day branding workshop on Friday 17 July. We’ll share highlights and photos from the workshop in the next edition.
