Wynnum’s spookiest event of the year is creeping up! The third Annual Wynnum Ampol Halloween Parade is back and ready to thrill on October 27, 2024. This year, the festivities will take place on a Sunday, as the State Election is being held on the Saturday.
Starting at 12:00pm, get ready for a day packed with spine-tingling fun and family-friendly activities. From food trucks to vibrant markets, trick-or-treating, and the parade, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Below, you’ll find a rundown of what to expect!
Get Your Trick and Treat Buckets Ready!
Get your trick and treat bucket or bag ready because Wynnum Central retailers will be out and ready to join in the Halloween fun between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. We encourage families to dress in their Halloween costumes as they embark on their trick-or-treating adventure!
Best Dressed Competitions
This year, we’re mixing things up a bit. The Best Dressed Competitions will take place before the parade. We’re excited to see your most bewitching and imaginative costumes!
Best Dressed Kids Competition
Open to children aged 16 and under. Judging begins at 3:00pm on the Main Stage, located at the intersection of Bay Terrace and Florence Street. All kids are invited to join the parade!
Best Dressed Adult Competition
Adults can show off their costumes with judging at 3:15pm on the Main Stage. Don’t forget, registration for Best Dressed is essential this year, so be sure to sign up in advance!
The Grand Finale Parade
The day’s eerie excitement will culminate in the Halloween Parade starting at 5:30pm on Bay Terrace, where all the ghoulishly fabulous costumes will take centre stage.
