Celebrating culture and heritage, one pierogi at a time! - The Community Leader and Real Estate New and Views

Welcome to September! There are so many exciting things happening in the Redlands this month, from small-scale exhibitions and markets to big-fun festivals, and we’ve got a rundown of events throughout this issue.

One of the month’s standout drawcards is the annual Wiosna Festival on September 20, ready to transform Capalaba into a colourful pocket of Polish food, art and entertainment. Come along and get stuck into a feast of pierogi (yum!), traditional folk dancing, cool live music and market stalls. It’s a fun, family-friendly day out with a distinctly European feel.

And when life gives you strawberries…you hold a festival! RedFest takes over the Cleveland Showgrounds on September 26 and 27, and its schedule is packed with all the crowd favourites – even a strawberry eating competition! Find out more on page 22, including some fun info about the farming and fundraising origins of the event.

Whatever you choose to do this month, we hope you have fun and make the most of everything your community has to offer.
