COUNCILLOR FOR WYNNUM MANLY WARD

LINDUM LEVEL CROSSING
It is great to see the Council, State and Federal Governments co-operating over the upgrade of the Lindum Level Crossing. The initial safety improvements works to be completed before end of the year will involve:

  • Installation of a new median island on the northern approach to the intersection;
  • Extension of the median island on Lindum Road; and
  • New pavement and road line marking.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE AREA
A new Development Application for 29 units in a 9 storey building has been received by Council for 98 Berrima Street, Wynnum. It appears to comply with what the Neighbourhood Plan allows.

Meanwhile in Manly, the new unit complex at 191 Stratton Terrace is expected to start construction soon. There will be 43 apartments across four storeys. Parking in Manly will be more difficult as parking onsite will no longer be available.

SPORTING NEWS
