COUNCILLOR FOR WYNNUM MANLY

Community Hero of the Month

Our local heroes were out in droves following the storms late last December. In fact, the rains had barely stopped when volunteers took to the street with their chainsaws, helping our more vulnerable community members clear their roads and yards. Thank you to everyone who braved the heat to clear our streets and keep our people safe.

Warren Cowan of Absolute Rubbish Removal spent several days breaking down trees and clearing debris for our senior citizens. For this reason, he’s my first Community Hero of the Month. If you live in Lota, you may already know Warren through his volunteer work with Bayside United Football Club and Lota State School.

Thank you Warren!
