Local author Karen Baxter has turned a lifelong dream into reality with the release of her first children’s book, The Magic Cubby.
Inspired by her own childhood and a passion for encouraging kids to play, explore, and create, Karen’s book takes young readers on an adventure beyond screens and into the great outdoors. The Magic Cubby celebrates the joys of building forts, digging in the dirt, and letting imaginations run wild – something she believes today’s children need more of.
“Writing a children’s book has always been a goal of mine, but life kept getting in the way,” Karen said. “Recently, I found myself with more time and decided to finally go for it.”
