This November, Wynnum Manly siblings Darci and Jake Allen will light up the stage in Queensland Musical Theatre’s production of Mary Poppins at Twelfth Night Theatre.

Ten-year-old Jake will take on the role of Michael Banks, while 13-year-old Darci will be part of the ensemble and play Jane Banks in one performance.

Since beginning their musical theatre journies at age four, the siblings have cultivated a deep passion for performing. From their first show, Singing in the Rain Jnr with The Dance and Theatre Factory, to the recent show of Shrek the Musical with Savoyards, they have consistently captivated audiences with their engaging performances.

Both Darci and Jake study various dance styles, drama and singing at The Dance and Theatre Factory. Darci enjoys being part of her high school dance troupe and sport aerobics team, while Jake plays the French horn. Additionally, Darci benefits from the mentorship of internationally renowned soprano and bayside local, Mirusia Louwerse.

The upcoming production of Mary Poppins promises to delight viewers of all ages, featuring beloved songs, memorable characters and enchanting moments. This family-friendly musical tells the story of a magical nanny who brings joy and adventure to the Banks family.
