The highly anticipated annual Kaleidoscope Art Exhibition and Awards at The Manly Hotel brought together a vibrant mix of young artists, local creatives, students, and tutors to celebrate artistic talent. This year’s open category saw over 60 entries, showcasing a wide range of artistic expressions. The evening began with a beautiful performance by Jillian from Harpwaves, whose melodic harp tunes set a serene atmosphere for guests to appreciate the artwork.
Owen Johnston charmed the crowd with his engaging role as MC, keeping the energy lively throughout the night.
A special moment of the evening was the Kids by the Bay Awards, presented by Joan Pease MP. The excitement was palpable as children saw their artwork displayed for the first time and became part of the main event.
Another of the evening’s highlights was the auction of a painting of The Manly Hotel by Tamara Beale of Sable and Canvas. The winning bid was generously placed by The Manly Hotel, with all proceeds from the auction donated to the Bayside Community Fund.
For those who missed the chance to purchase a piece of art for their home, don’t worry! Artwork from the event will be displayed on the Wynnum Manly Arts Council Inc. Facebook page.
The event’s success was made possible thanks to the support of The Community Leader, Joan Pease MP, Bay Taxation Services, Bayside Property Agents, Bayside Art Supplies, Specialist Adjusters, and patrons Bill and Geraldine Simpson. A special thank you goes to The Manly Hotel, whose venue set the perfect backdrop for the evening’s celebrations and played a crucial role in bringing the event to life.
