Redlands Camera Club members knocked the ball out of the park in the first round of the PSA International Interclub Competition, securing three out of a possible six awards in two categories. This achievement highlights the club’s dedication and skill in a highly competitive arena.
This fierce event, organised by the Photographic Society of America, sees camera clubs from around the world vying for top honours in categories such as Open Colour and Monochrome. With three rounds in total, the competition offers numerous opportunities for clubs to showcase their photographic expertise and creative vision.
The early success of the Redlands Camera Club underscores its members’ talents, setting a high standard for the upcoming rounds. This accomplishment inspires its members to continue pushing the boundaries of their craft.
The PSA International Interclub Competition provides a platform for photographers to showcase their work and gain recognition and fosters a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie among photography enthusiasts from countries all over the world including Australia, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, the UK and the USA.
Redlands Camera Club president Pia Jessen said that competing in international competitions challenges photographers to refine their techniques and improve their craft because they’re motivated to submit their best work. Being involved in these competitions provides the opportunity for members to view diverse works from photographers worldwide, which can inspire new ideas and creative approaches, broadening members’ artistic perspectives.
