FROM REDLANDS COAST MUSEUM
From the first stroke of a paintbrush to the final chisel on stone, no two artists see – or create – the world in exactly the same way. This September, the Redlands Coast Museum invites you to celebrate those differences in We Are All Different, an exhibition brimming with originality, creativity, and passion.
Art is as varied as the people who make it. Whether working in oils, acrylics, watercolours, or pastels, on canvas, paper, or timber – each medium shapes the artist’s style and story. Sculptors working with clay, stone, wood, or metal choose their tools and forms based on the unique challenges and possibilities of their material.
But the magic goes beyond the medium. Some artists embrace improvisation; others meticulously plan every detail. Some build intricate layers slowly, others capture an idea in a single, swift session. Inspiration may be drawn from realism, abstraction, symbolism, or social commentary. Each approach breathes life into the work – pushing the boundaries of art and making the creative world endlessly rich and diverse.
We Are All Different is a vibrant salute to these individual styles, featuring works by:
May Sheppard, Robin Wilson, Chris Huber, Peter Stellar, Leo Herregers, Delisa Appleton, Sharyn Talbot, and Anna Bray.
