National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers.
Every year I host the Bonner Volunteer Awards to recognise the incredible contribution of volunteers in our local community. I look forward to sharing an update on our winners and their amazing stories in the next issue.
However, from May 17 to 23, National Volunteer Week is when we come together as a nation to celebrate Australia’s six million volunteers!
From sporting clubs to wildlife carers, community groups and more, volunteers come from all walks of life to assist in a myriad of ways. To all our volunteers I say thank you! You are the heart and soul of our local communities.
