ROSS VASTA MP FEDERAL MEMBER FOR BONNER
I recently celebrated National Tree Day with the students at Lota State School. I invited along ABC Gardening Australia host, Jerry Coleby-Williams who taught the students about the importance of National Tree Day, putting their hands in the earth and giving back to their community.
Lota State School’s 12 Eco-Marine students in year’s 5 and 6, led by grounds keeper Mr Andy, helped to plant a native tuckeroo tree which I happily donated to the school.
It was fantastic to involve the Eco-Marine students whose passion for environmental conservation is inspiring. Can’t wait to visit again and see its progress!
