ROSS VASTA MP FEDERAL MEMBER FOR BONNER
I am privileged to have some incredible volunteers in my electorate of Bonner and Damien who is the founder of Little Warrior Shields is one of them. Damien recently invited me to his workshop in Manly West, where he hand makes amazing medieval inspired shields and helmets for sick children.
What started out as a hobby has grown into so much more. Damien has now donated over 280 shields to Queensland Children’s Hospital and the P.A Hospital! His work has touched the lives of hundreds of children, making them feel like the little warriors they are.
As a souvenir from my visit, Damien gave me a mini pin version to take home. I wore it proudly during a recent trip to Canberra where I shared the story of Little Warrior Shields in Parliament House.
