Carnival vibes by the bay: Bayside Spring Festival is back! - The Community Leader and Real Estate New and Views

For generations of Wynnum-Manly families, the Wynnum Spring Parade has been an annual highlight on the social calendar, with locals taking centre stage as the stars of the show as the parade snakes its way down Bay Terrace. It’s always been an event run by the people, for the people – and its recent reincarnation as the Bayside Spring Festival will once again bring the community together.

If you’re a long-term bayside local, chances are you’re related to – or you know – a former Spring Parade Queen. You might remember cars and tray-back trucks decorated with flowers, streamers, and anything colourful, smiling kids with legs dangling over the sides of floats, and local entertainers revving up the crowd that lined the streets.

And while there’s no parade this year (but yes – there will be fireworks!), George Clayton Park plays host as festival headquarters. It’s the perfect seaside hub for two days of live entertainment, rides, food trucks, and a variety of family-friendly activities.

Join your neighbours and friends on September 12 and 13 for a laid-back, carnival-style celebration, and make some new memories to treasure. More here.
