The Wynnum Fringe Festival is back and bigger than ever in 2025, bringing a tidal wave of talent, colour and creativity to Brisbane’s bayside from July 2 to 20.
This year’s theme, Mateship, celebrates the bond between the bush and the bay, with a dynamic program
of music, comedy, cabaret, circus, theatre and family entertainment centred on the iconic Augathella Spiegeltent on Bay Terrace.
The festival opens with Yana Marumba (Walk Good), a powerful, free First Nations-led event inviting the community to walk together in reflection and respect on Quandamooka Country. From there, the program bursts into life with a host of headline acts. Comedy lovers can catch Wil Anderson’s acclaimed show WILEGITIMATE or enjoy a night of laughs at the Wynnum Fringe Comedy Gala, featuring some of Australia’s top comedic talent.
Live music takes centre stage with Theo Katzman of Vulfpeck fame performing on July 12, alongside soulful soprano Mirusia Louwerse in Arias in the Afternoon. Pianist and showman Trevor Jones pays tribute to musical legends in Still Standing, a lively homage to the greats.
Cabaret and circus fans are in for a treat with Dangerous Goods, a provocative cabaret exploring identity and desire, and Railed!, a whip-cracking western-themed circus spectacle. Theatre lovers can experience Shake & Stir’s fresh take on Romeo & Juliet, an immersive adaptation set within the intimate spiegeltent.
Adding to the fun, the ever-popular Wynnum B&S Ball is on July 5, mixing country flair with coastal vibes. Families will love the kid-friendly offerings too, including CIRCUS: The Show, The Greatest Magic Show, and the explosive science-themed KABOOM!
With something for everyone, Wynnum Fringe 2025 promises unforgettable entertainment by the bay. Find the full program and buy tickets at wynnumfringe.com.
