Saddle up, Brisbane — the outback is heading for the bayside!
Mark your calendars, because this July, Wynnum is set to swap sea breezes for country charm as Augathella World pops up at 166 Bay Terrace for three unforgettable weeks of outback-inspired fun.
This all-new experience will be the official festival hub for Wynnum Fringe 2025, bringing a slice of Meat Ant Country to the coast. Expect stockyards, hay bales, boot-scootin’, bush poetry, rustic bars pouring ice-cold brews and cocktails, and authentic eats straight from the heart of Queensland.
At the centre of the action sits the iconic Augathella Spiegeltent — a historic gem reborn as a home for dazzling cabaret, wild west performances, outback storytelling, and a toe-tapping lineup of country creativity. This Brisbane exclusive was born when Wynnum and Augathella became unofficial sister suburbs in 2024, united by the relocation of the historic Augathella Spiegeltent (formerly the Q150 Shed).
Wynnum Fringe 2025 will also dish up plenty more festival favourites, including the intimate Lunchbox Theatre (The Saloon!), a breezy container bar with rooftop views across Moreton Bay, and a jam-packed program of comedy, circus, music, family fun and more.
And just in time for the winter school holidays, this year’s festival will feature a brand-new program designed especially for kids and schools — with the full lineup still to come!
