Island Vibe Festival returns from October 25 to 27, 2024, at Home Beach Oval, Point Lookout, Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). Celebrating its 18th year, this vibrant festival kicks off the Australian summer with a diverse lineup of music, workshops, and cultural events.
The festival offers something for everyone across three music stages and two workshop zones. Families can enjoy kid-friendly activities, while adults can explore craft stalls, an expanded art gallery, and a boutique bar serving local brews. From toddlers to elders, everyone can enjoy the festival’s friendly, relaxed vibe.
This year’s lineup includes a mix of international and local talent. Headlining is Skarramucci, a Jamaican-born reggae star with a career spanning 20 years. Also featured is Emily Wurramara, a powerful voice from Groote Eylandt, blending English and Anindilyakwa in her award-winning blues and roots music. Dancefloor maestro JStar, world music fusionist Mista Savona, and reggae collective The Pad Boys, showcasing their Djabugay heritage, will also bring energy to the event.
Other acts include Minjerribah’s own Sachem, Australian reggae stars Kingfisha, and a variety of local and international artists like Byron Bay’s 2BïRD and Brazilian crew Batukanum.
Island Vibe Festival is family-friendly, with free entry for kids under 12. Local residents of Cleveland and North Stradbroke Island are eligible for discounted tickets. Come along and soak up this unique blend of music, art, and culture in a relaxed island setting.
