BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL FREE SENIORS CONCERT
Wednesday 19 October, 11am to 12pm
Starring entertainers The Beatlegs – the ultimate Beatles tribute show. This show features a mixture of humour and on-stage antics. Re-live the Beatles’ magic and be taken back to the golden age of pop music with a shot of nostalgia. Register for this free concert at Eventbrite.com.au.
SHIRE CLERK’S COTTAGE MARKET AND SPRING FAIR
Saturday 15 October
The market showcases talented local artists and craftspeople. Buy an original painting for yourself or as a special gift, purchase beautiful handicrafts, jewellery, clothing, knitted goods, home-baked goods, plants and much more.
There will be over 80 fantastic market stalls inside the auditorium and outside on the cottage grounds. It is not too early to find that special, unique Christmas gift and enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea on the cottage verandah. Fresh scones are baked on-site each market day, and the cottage is open for viewing on market day. The final market for the year is to be held on Saturday 10 December so mark your diary!

25 October – Concert with entertainment by John Cornelius
The cost is $10 for each concert and morning tea, plus an additional $10 for a two-course lunch served after the show.
Raffles and lucky door prizes will be held on concert days. Doors open at 9.30am, and bookings are essential. Please phone 3396 9488 to make a booking.
Repair Café – Sunday 9 October – 2pm to 4pm
Toss it – no way! Bring along that broken, damaged item to be fixed or repaired while minimising landfill. It’s free!
