New Facilities Delivered & A Bayside Pizza Cook-Off
Get ready for the tastiest showdown in town! At 5pm the 6th of October we’re kicking off the Super 6 Competition at Bayside United FC with a sizzling pizza cook-off!
In one corner, we have our very own pizza maestro, Ross Vasta MP, former small business owner of an Italian restaurant. And in the other, it’s Bayside United FC’s charismatic and dedicated president and former bakery owner, Andrew Dale.
Get set for a dough-tossing, cheese-melting, flavour-exploding extravaganza where I will be putting my Italian cooking skills to the ultimate test!
It is also the perfect opportunity to celebrate the almost completed new female change rooms and family room made possible through the $580,000 in Federal Funding I delivered. So, make sure you bring your appetite, your cheers, and let’s have a ball as we celebrate this exciting new chapter for the club and even tastier pizza!
Supporting Manly Coast Guard
The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard plays a pivotal role in ensuring the security of our waters, safeguarding lives, and responding to emergencies. We are so fortunate to have them based here on the Bayside.
It was wonderful to recently visit the Manly Coast Guard who received Federal Funding through the 2022-23 Volunteer Grants Program. The funding not only supports them in updating delivery of important training courses for their volunteers, but it also recognises the invaluable contributions of volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time and effort to the Coast Guard service.
I express my heartfelt thanks for their tireless efforts in keeping our community safe on the water!

New Look For Wynnum Bowls Club
It’s exciting times for the Wynnum Bowls Club! Thanks to the Stronger Communities Grant, I proudly delivered Federal Funding to enhance their club facilities.
The grant supported the repair and revitalisation of the club’s exterior, making it a more inviting space for members and the community. The funding also supported improvements to lighting to ensure safe and enjoyable gameplay.
It was a pleasure to catch-up with the wonderful members at Wynnum Bowls Club recently where I got to see these updates in person.
