I am an artist. Being an artist is so much more than creating sculptures. I am the artist, the teacher, the marketer, the photographer, the bookkeeper, the website manager, the packer, the cleaner, and everything in between.
I work evenings and weekends and wear many hats to build a business around what I love.
The greatest reward isn’t the long hours – it’s seeing the joy on a student’s face when they create something they never thought possible, or watching someone fall in love with a sculpture that now has a place in their home. I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.
Every sculpture I create, every class I teach, and every person I inspire reminds me why I chose this path.
Art isn’t just my profession; it’s my passion, my purpose, and my way of giving back.
I have spent 26 years creating a beautiful community around my art. Twenty-six years ago, I bought this worker’s cottage and transformed it into a gallery and a studio, and I believe my social and business media have reflected that. My students aren’t just learning to sculpt – they’re becoming part of a community, making friendships, finding relaxation, and creating something they can be proud of. And I love sharing these little moments, like a student sending me a photograph of their sculpture proudly displayed at home.
Those are the stories that make people feel connected to my studio before they’ve even walked through the door. I keep sharing them. My art, my students, my gallery, and the stories behind them are what make my business unique.
