  • Lowering public transport fares to 50c per trip anywhere in Queensland.
  • 20% off your car registration.

  • Providing free TAFE.
  • Abolishing stamp duty for first home buyers for purchases up to $700,000.

More Healthcare for Redlands

This includes a new intensive care unit and expanded mental heath unit, and will deliver 85 more beds. We’ve just opened our new Redlands Crisis Mental Health drop-in centre co-located with the Redland Hospital. We are delivering more nurses, doctors, paramedics and allied health professionals. On top of this the Redlands Satellite Hospital is taking pressure off our emergency departments while providing crucial care for locals. This all means better access to better healthcare, right here in the heart of our community.

$200 FairPlay Vouchers for Queensland Kids

We are expanding the FairPlay program, because we know kids and families in sport is great for our community! Every Queensland child aged between five and 17 years of age will be eligible for the FairPlay program as a new direct cost of living measure. Our Fairplay vouchers have already helped Queensland families to the tune of over $30 million with costs such as memberships, registration and participation fees. Now, with round 11 of the Fairplay program opening on July 1, we’re increasing the value of vouchers to $200 and increasing the number of vouchers from 50,000 to 200,000.

Cheaper Public Transport

From 5 August this year our Government will lower public transport fares to 50 cents per trip anywhere in Queensland on any Translink bus, train or ferry.  This is amazing news for our Southern Moreton Bay Islands community and for locals wanting to visit our amazing islands.  It makes public transport more affordable for everyone. And with more people using public transport, we will take more cars off our local roads.
