Manly Harbour Boat Club Grand Reopening

The Manly Harbour Boat Club officially set sail as a world-class venue for boating and entertainment in Manly yesterday, after a multi-million dollar refurbishment.

I was so proud to attend alongside the Hon. Premier and Minister for the Olympics, Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, to witness first-hand the beautiful new club and facilities that baysiders can now enjoy.

Featuring a brand new outdoor function space, restaurant, and rooftop terrace bar with breathtaking ocean views, the new-look Manly Harbour Boat Club is truly a bayside icon that we can all be proud of.

NAB Wynnum Branch Closure

As a community we are deeply disappointed that the NAB Wynnum branch has decided to close its doors on 29 September 2022.

The closure of another bank in the Wynnum area will cause significant damage to our local economy and create stress for Bayside residents who will now have to commute to use the services of NAB.

Our office has created a petition to voice the communities concern over the closure of this branch. You can sign the petition via this link  https://bit.ly/3AiqULT or visit our office to sign.

Coffee with a Cop

We had a fantastic response to our recent ‘Coffee with a Cop” at BHN Coffee Wynnum on Tuesday 2nd August 2022.

This event was a great opportunity to get to know our local police officers and ask questions. Keep an eye on our events page for the next one!

Grants Forum Follow Up

Each year Cr Peter Cumming and I host the Bayside Grants Forum.

It’s our way of informing the amazing Lytton community groups, charities and sporting clubs of the countless grant funding opportunities available to them through both State Government
and private industry channels.

The 2022 Bayside Grants Forum, at the Wynnum RSL had an outstanding turnout from our community!

Baysiders heard from some fantastic presenters, including the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), Queensland Community Foundation (QCF), Ampol, Bisbane City Council, Transurban and more.

I also had the pleasure of introducing the Bayside Community
Fund – a lasting legacy that will help the bayside to flourish for years to come.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Bayside Grants Forum.
