It was a massive day in April for some Wynnum Manly Seagulls Under 8s players who got to live out their dreams and play a game at Suncorp Stadium.

The junior team played the curtain raiser match in the big local derby between the Brisbane Broncos and the Redcliffe Dolphins. The excitement levels were through the roof as they ran out in front of a big crowd to play on the same turf as their idols.

With the crowd cheering them on, they showed everyone the future talent coming through the ranks at the Seagulls. There were plenty of tries scored and some lifelong memories made. Scores aren’t recorded in the younger age groups, but it’s safe to say the Gulls got up!

In other news, the Wynnum Juniors BRL A Grade team remains undefeated after three rounds with a convincing 38-16 victory over rivals Beenleigh at Kitchener Park. That leaves them alone at the top of the table, travelling to a big clash with second-placed Valleys.

Get yourself down to Kitchener Park for some magnificent grassroots rugby league and support the next wave of future stars.
